Its senior enforcement workplace, Peter Moore, said: "It is important that we get the message across that unlicensed medicines can be harmful.

"These kinds of items being sold, typically online, have gone through no quality assurance and there can be no guarantee about their security.

"You just do not understand what you are taking or the conditions these products were made in. More significantly, you do not know the impact drugs like this might have on your health."
